Whether you prefer a red, white, or rose’ wine you don’t have to limit your exploration of good wine to just a retail outlet or a bar.
For the past five years, South Shore Harbour Resort has created memorable experiences with their bi-monthly Thursday Wine Dinner Series. The sumptuous meals featuring avant-garde cuisine are paired with wines chosen for the discriminating palate.
On June 20, their third wine dinner of the season will feature wines from Trinitas Cellars, a family owned and operated winery in the heart of Napa Valley. Trinitas selections of wine will be paired with Chef Grady Kirk’s four-course menu featuring pan-seared scallops, watermelon-avocado spinach salad, grilled prime filet mignon with chanterelle mushrooms, and finished off with chocolate mousse and hazelnut dacquoise.
“Putting together these dinners is a lot of fun,” said Adam Folden, Food and Beverage Manager at South Shore Harbour Resort. “We get a chance to feature a particular theme, region, or winery and then work with our talented chef and culinary staff who take fresh seasonal ingredients and create a menu that pairs well with our featured wines.”
The dinners, which are limited to about 60 attendees, are hosted in the resorts Paradise Reef Restaurant and typically sell out well in advance of the events date. Folden said remaining dates for 2019 include June 20, August 22, and October 24, but only 20 seats or fewer are left for the remainder of the events.
In addition to fine wine and great food, the evening ambiance is set with live music, classic table linens, and themed decorations. And while you will get plenty of wine during the course of the meal, attendees will have a chance to win bottles of featured wines to take home as door prizes.
The Thursday Wine Dinners are $89 per person plus tax and service charges. For more information or to make reservations call 281-334-1000 ext. 2022.
